Here are our minimalist wallets with RFID scanning protection, in a vegan version. Made of eco-leather, they are an alternative to natural animal skin wallets.
The synthetic leather we use usually imitates the colours and texture of natural leather. However, this is not
the only option available - you can find eco-leather in other textures and colours in our warehouses, often not obvious, which allows us to create wallets with a varied, interesting look. How about a durable wallet that looks like it's made of stone? Or one that looks like it was sewn from canvas? Or how about a 'loft-style' wallet that looks like it's covered in rust? Modern eco-leather really offers many interesting and inspiring possibilities!

In the past, things were slightly different. For example - in ancient China it was common to use tea leaves compressed into bricks, which were easy to carry and store. Kauri shells, now mainly used as a summer decoration, were also used to pay for goods, especially in Asia and Africa. In ancient Rome, soldiers were sometimes rewarded with salt, hence the origin of the English word 'salary'. However, nothing beats the ancient currency of the Micronesian islands. The inhabitants of these islands used stone discs called Rai. They were huge, weighed tons and were transported by boat. The bigger they were, the rounder they were and the harder they were to transport, the more valuable they were. Phew! We'd better stick to notes and coins....
